SEO Ghostwriter Secret: Wrong Objectives, No Results

It really doesn't matter whether you have written your own promotional articles or have used the services of an experienced SEO ghostwriter, but if you do not have a workable traffic generation strategy, you will end up disappointed. The trick is to constantly focus on the correct objectives.

Most webmasters and inexperienced ghostwriters hardly have a plan when dealing with SEO (search engine optimized) promotional articles and will concentrate all their efforts on finding the article directory with the highest traffic and then they proceed to post all their articles there. The results are inevitable failure and disappointment.

Whenever I launch an article promotion and marketing campaign the most important objective that I usually have in mind is to post the articles with the right keywords and anchor text to create links for SEO reasons. That means that the whole exercise starts out with me carefully selecting the most popular keywords that I feel I am able to compete for. That is why it is just plain dumb hiring a ghostwriter with limited knowledge about search engine optimization. Yet to be honest, most ghostwriters out there have very little SEO knowledge.

The other thing that I will make a big effort to do is to create a valuable article that my target market will find genuinely useful. This also needs to be communicated through a catchy headline that immediately attracts attention. Many so-called SEO ghostwriters don't put too much effort into this, so is it any wonder that their articles do not get re-posted too much in other sites or linked to? This is vital so as to trigger off the viral growth of links that is critical for large volume traffic generation. (SEO ghostwriter article continued).

How to Write a Quiz in 6 Easy Steps - Part 2

In Part 1 of this article, I showed you the first three steps to writing a great quiz. First, you chose the topic of your quiz. Next, you determined the reason for the quiz. Last, you decided what kind of quiz to write.

Now comes the fun part...writing your quiz. Ready? Let's get started! Here are the final steps to writing your quiz.

Step 4: Write the questions.

Keeping the purpose of your quiz in mind, you will now write questions for your quiz. This is often the part where writers freeze up and quit. Don't stop now!

Let's say the topic of your quiz is house plants, and the purpose of the quiz is to determine whether or not your quizzer has a green thumb. Keeping this in mind, you might write questions like:

1. How often should you water an ivy?

2. Where is the best spot to place a potted plant?

TIP: If you are writing a True or False quiz, remember to write questions that have an affirmative answer (yes or no).

Step 5: Fill in the rest of the quiz.

After you've written all the questions for your quiz, you'll need to go back fill it in. For example, if you are writing a multiple choice quiz, write 3-5 possible answers, making one of those the correct answer. If you are writing a quiz that will require the test-taker to score points, write statements that result in yes or no answers.

Using the example above, let's plug multiple choice answers into one of the questions:

1. How often should you water an ivy?

a. Every week.

b. Every day.

c. Every hour.

d. Every three months.

TIP: Keep it simple, sweetie.

Step 6: Write the summary.

The end of your quiz should contain two parts: the results of the quiz and the call to action (the purpose of your quiz).

First, explain to the quizzer how to tally their results. Then give them the findings of their results. The final part of your summary should also contain a call to action. Now that they've taken the quiz and learned the results, what should they do now? Give your reader specific direction that they can take away from the quiz.

Using the house plant quiz sample above, the end of your quiz might contain the following results for quizzers:

If you answered mostly A's, you have a green thumb. In fact, you probably have a house full of beautiful, blooming plants right now. Keep up the good job!

If you answered mostly B's, you have a good chance of growing indoor plants. Sometimes you might forget to water your plants, but overall you're able to maintain pretty plants. Remember to feed and water your plants regularly and your plants will love you forever.

If you answered mostly C's, you should stay away from plants altogether. You're most likely to neglect or kill even the toughest of greenery. Opt for live-like silk plants instead.

TIP: Keep your quiz fun and light. If your quiz is on a more serious topic, you might want to include some background research information in your summary.

In terms of marketing and promotions, it is no doubt that article writing remains to be one of the most cost effective and easy to manage. With article writing, there are only a few rules that one should follow in order to achieve a well crafted and written article material. Adding to that, there are a lot of techniques that one can use in order to achieve perfection in writing the article. I have just included some of these widely used techniques below:

- Learning how to write is learning how other people write. Writing is a developed skill. All of us have our own flair in writing. It is only with the technique and methods that we all differ. By learning how to write based on other people's writing, you are fusing two techniques to better enhance the single technique. It is mandatory for writers to continue reading other's works not to copy them but to learn from their techniques.

- Try to research how search engines rank and read articles on the net. There are a lot of article writers on the net. A handful of them may not have the flair to write but keep on getting good rank. The secret? They happen to know how search engines work with articles. So if you want to earn more money with article writing, learn how search engines treat them.

- Keep on writing. There is no shortcut way towards becoming a good writer. Be patient to walk the long way to getting a good writing skill. After all, learning is never easy more so, writing it.

Artificial Intelligent Software to Classify Online Article Authors

Is it possible to use artificial intelligent software to study authors and writers by their writing? For instance use such tools to find anomalies on Blogs, Internet Forum Posts or searching for human experts by their authored works.

There have been a few interesting programs that can predict is a writer is male or female, but they only work sometimes and not a high percentage of certainty, "Gender Software" and it is far from full proof. The error rate is too high to be viable and such a system can be gamed too easily.

I do not doubt that the project developing such AI software to classify online article authors would be difficult. Yet, I also know it is a lot less difficult once you start and play around with the data a bit, right? And we know it is possible and after working with it for a while, I bet we could improve accuracy, because "We are Writers" with significant attributes, so we are already well within the domain and therefore our ideas and expertise is very much needed if we are to achieve success in this project.

Will we also be able to catch the "bottom feeders" as one top online article writer calls them? He is speaking to the plagiarizers, computer generated article writers and posers. Well I believe we can catch most all of the Plagiarizers now with a little extra work, with very few false positives, although it might happen occasionally.

Computer generated articles, we can catch now, but someday that will be much harder. The Carnegie Mellon crowd already uses there little AI programs to go onto forums and have conversations and can fool most people for a short time period, some people for longer. Key wording bandits, yes they are a problem and with such software they may become very obvious very quickly with such a tool.

Online Article Titles - Use a Question

It is widely known that questions make good titles of articles, but did you know that it also makes a lot of sense if you are an online article author to be heavy handed on using questions as the titles of your articles. More than one top online article recommends this tactic and strategy.

As a prolific online article author myself, I believe this to be an excellent point and I have thousands of articles now which start with questions, because I know that many people type questions into the search bars to find answers. And I know that when someone asks me a question and I have the answer that there are millions more with the same question.

Thus it makes sense if you are called upon as an expert to answer a question that you take that question and your answer and make it into an article to help people. The Internet is perfectly set up for that too. When you use this strategy you are killing two-birds with one shot and you will find that your article gets read a lot by Internet Surfers who would most value the information, as it answers the exact question that they are thinking of while searching.

The goal in online article marketing is to attain high quality targeted traffic and therefore is stand to reason and makes common sense to use questions as the title of your articles. I can attest to the fact that this strategy works because I use it and I am often rewarded by Internet Searchers who later thank me for answering their questions.

Article Generation Software is Not All Good Part I

The debate as to the pros and cons of article generation software is still alive, even after Google's published policy on duplicate content. Article marketing is a popular means of driving traffic to your website, and if you are unable to write articles properly, you have three options. You can hire a ghostwriter to write them for you, you can purchase packs of articles on a wide range of niches, or you can use software to generate them.

Article packs come in two kinds. One is compiled from scraped articles: these are articles taken from article directories, complete with author's resource box, and bundled up into packs of up to several hundred or even thousands. Not only do these bleed relevance from your site due to the authors' website links, but also there is little if any control over the number of people purchasing these packs, so duplicate content is a serious issue.

The second type of article, either original or private label, where there is no author resource or link, still comes with the problem of duplication unless you rewrite the articles. Purchasing article packs is therefore fraught with danger and could harm your website. Which brings us to article generation software.

The major problem with most of the article generation software available online is that of contextual relevance. Such software tends to use templates into which keywords are put by the software. In the early days the templates were very general, such as in this short passage:

"Information on cat baskets is available all over the INTERNET. The subject of cat baskets is so popular that anybody requiring information can easily obtain it on the NET. Cat baskets WEB sites are very common and if you want more information on cat baskets you can find it on the INFORMATION SUPER-HIGHWAY using the keyword cat baskets in any search engine."
